The Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library hosted its annual Santa Claus event on Monday.
Approximately 150 people, including more than 60 children, joined in singing several carols before welcoming Santa Claus into the library. Each child in attendance received a gift from Santa and enjoyed refreshments provided by the participating families and the library.
Representatives from First Book contributed to the Santa event by distributing books to all children in attendance. The families also donated more than 45 items to the Clearfield County SPCA.
Shaw Public Library would like to extend its appreciation to all families who attended and brought refreshments and donations and to volunteers Mark Kercenneck, Jenna Marshall and Mike McKeown and staff member Lauren McKeown for their assistance during the Santa event.
