Sherry D. Kuruvilla, 60, of DuBois died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at her home.
Born Sept. 19, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. and E. Marie (Wingert) Jones.
On Nov. 29, 1974, she married Joy C. Kuruvilla. He survives.
She spent most of her life as a homemaker but enjoyed working as a teacher’s aide at the First Baptist Academy from 1994 to 1996.
She was the loving mother of four children, David and his wife, Elizabeth of Norristown; Mark of Reynoldsville; Philip of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Sonya of DuBois. She was the proud grandma of Caleb, Ellianna and Eden Kuruvilla. She is survived also by her sister, Sandra Bumpers and her husband, Mike of DuBois.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Kephart.
Her hobbies included singing songs, playing the organ and accordion, teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, and she was actively involved with the Church of God in DuBois. Her family and closest friends knew she loved to play Memory and write a multitude of thank you notes. Her love and endless spirit will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Friends will received from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc. At 6:30 p.m., there will be a brief remembrance service from the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
