Sankey to Host Open House

CLEARFIELD – State Rep. Tommy Sankey (R-Clearfield) is inviting residents of the 74th Legislative District to an open house that he is hosting Dec. 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held in his Clearfield district office, which is located at 315 East Market St., Suite 100.

“I’m looking forward to spending time with the residents of Clearfield, as well as our neighbors from surrounding municipalities,” said Sankey. “Light refreshments will be served, and my staff and I will be available to answer specific state government questions or explain the many legislative services we can offer.”

Sankey will also be able to discuss changes that are coming to the 74th District as a result of reapportionment.

“At this time next year, we will all have moved, from a legislative perspective,” Sankey added. “I’ll be able to explain the reapportionment process and give constituents an idea of which House district they will belong.”

The 74th District currently consists of the townships of Beccaria, Bell, Bigler, Bloom, Boggs, Bradford, Burnside, Chest, Cooper, Covington, Decatur, Ferguson, Girard, Goshen, Graham, Greenwood, Gulich, Jordan, Karthaus, Knox, Lawrence, Morris, Penn, Pike, Pine and Woodward; and the boroughs of Brisbin, Burnside, Chester Hill, Clearfield, Coalport, Curwensville, Glen Hope, Grampian, Houtzdale, Irvona, Lumber City, Mahaffey, New Washington, Newburg, Osceola Mills, Ramey, Wallaceton and Westover.

Sankey is a member of the following House committees: Children and Youth, Commerce, Environmental Resources and Energy and Local Government.
