Rex D. Fink, 68, of Clearfield died Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at McGeorge Road, Clearfield. He was born July 3, 1945, a son of the late Ward and Edith Mae (Mellott) Fink.

He was formerly employed at Clearfield Machine Co. and Penn Lumber Products.
He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.

He was a life member of the First Ward Fire Department, Clearfield. He was a member and vice president of the Clearfield County Fair Board and volunteered with the fair for more than 50 years, during which time he served as the fair parade chairman.

He served with the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. He also enjoyed hunting, putting together table puzzles and solving puzzle books.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo (Biviano) Fink, whom he wed June 24, 1967 at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield; a sister and four brothers, Karen Fox and her husband, Rudy of Florida, Marvin Fink, Stan Fink and his wife, Nancy, Ward L. Fink and Jeff Fink and his wife, Linda, all of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, at the convenience of the family with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee Jr. as celebrant. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Francis Catholic Church, 212 S. Front St., Clearfield, or to the Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department, 108 E. Cherry St., Clearfield.
