Center Plans Trip to Farm Show

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Center for Active Living Volunteer Ann Reid invites the public to join her this January at the Farm Show.  Bus tickets to the show are available at the center, now through Dec. 31, for a Jan. 8 trip to see the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg.

In its 98th year, the Farm Show is the largest indoor agricultural exposition in the country, and features demonstrations, competitions, and exhibitions from morning till night.  Some of the activities scheduled for the day of the trip include Carriage Racing, Square Dance Demonstrations, Cooking Challenges and an Antique Tractor Pull.  There will be demonstrations by the Maple Syrup Producers and wood carvers, as well as many other attractions.  Bus tickets are $37 but entrance to the show is free.

The center is open 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is located in the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging building at 103 N. Front St. in Clearfield.
