Madeline M. Wisor, 94, of Mineral Springs went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Wisor was born Nov. 18, 1919 in West Decatur, the daughter of James and Elva (Hull) Aveni. She had worked for the former Clear Haven of Clearfield.

Mrs. Wisor was a founding member along with her husband, the Rev. Leonard L. “Sprink” Wisor of the Calvary Church of God, Mineral Springs. She was a Sunday school teacher and held the offices of secretary and treasurer, as well as many other responsibilities within the church. Her life encompassed family, the church and being of service to others.

She is survived by 10 children, Glenda Hummel of Clearfield; Elva Lumadue and her husband, Fay of West Decatur; and Alice Lumadue, Arthur Wisor, Marshall Wisor and his wife, Bonnie, Leonard Wisor and his wife, Lori, Vera Parks and her husband, John, Dorothy Maines and her husband, the Rev. Sam, and Marl Wisor, all of Mineral Springs; and the Pastor Stanley Wisor and his wife, Diane of Bigler.

Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Geraldine Parks of West Decatur, Beverly Hurley and her husband, Russell of Hyde and Inez Donner and her husband, Jerry of Maryland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wisor was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a daughter, Connie Wisor; two sisters, Gloria Rauch and Verna Peters; a brother, Glenn Aveni; a granddaughter; and two grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., of Clearfield, with the Rev Kenneth Pry officiating. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 12 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the funeral home.
