State police at Clearfield
- No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident Tuesday on Lingle Street in Osceola Mills Borough. Joseph M. Demchak, 43, of Osceola Mills was traveling east on Sarah Street and approaching the T-intersection with Lingle Street. He lost control of his vehicle, which slid through a stop sign at the end of Sarah Street. Then, his vehicle traveled across Lingle Street and struck a pole. Demchak wasn’t injured as a result of the accident; his vehicle was towed from the scene. Demchak was cited for the accident.
- On Tuesday, an International Harvester was traveling westbound on Clover Street in Decatur Township. Its operator failed to stop at its intersection with Irwin Drive and struck a northbound vehicle. Both operators were wearing their seatbelts.
State police at DuBois
- No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident Tuesday on state Route 28 in Warsaw Township. Keith R. Meyer, 20, of St. Marys was traveling northbound and lost control of his vehicle, which subsequently crashed. Meyer was cited for the accident. State police were assisted by the Warsaw Township Volunteer Fire Department and towing services.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Wednesday on North Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 19-year-old Morrisdale woman threw multiple bricks to intentionally break out a window to the victim’s residence. The woman was cited through the district court.
- No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident Tuesday on Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. Beth A. Martin of Philipsburg was stopped at a traffic signal. However, John M. Delman of Philipsburg couldn’t stop his vehicle and rear-ended that driven by Martin. The Delman vehicle was towed from the scene.
- The investigation is continuing into an alleged sexual assault that occurred Tuesday at a Julian residence in Huston Township. Further, a 4-year-old girl’s mother contacted state police after suspecting the girl had been sexually assaulted by a known person. The girl was subsequently taken to the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College, for an examination.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of DUI occurred Nov. 23 on Long Level Road in Ridgway Township. During the incident, a 59-year-old Ridgway man was stopped for an equipment violation and found under the influence of alcohol. DUI and related charges were filed through the district court.
- Minor injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident Tuesday on Silver Creek Road in Ridgway Township. Further, a 17-year-old Johnsonburg girl was traveling northbound in the right-hand lane when she lost control of her vehicle. She crossed into the southbound lane before traveling into a ditch and striking a culvert. The girl sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident.
- An incident of theft/forgery occurred Nov. 23 at a Dagus Mines residence in Fox Township. During the incident, a known 35-year-old Kersey man took a personal check and forged the victim’s name. The man subsequently cashed the check. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an abandoned vehicle and contacted the owner who will move it.
- Police received a report about an incident at the Wal-Mart Supercenter involving two males. Upon arrival police handled the incident at the scene.
- Police received a report about the theft of personal property from a local homecare facility. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a civil issue involving money. The victim was referred to the magistrate’s office.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Coal Hill Road.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of Center Street and Mount Joy Road.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident in the area of River Road and Good Street. The accident was listed as unfounded.
- Police received another report about a motor vehicle accident in the area of River Road and Good Street. The accident was again listed as unfounded.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident on Martin Street Extension. Further, a tractor-trailer was stranded due to mechanical problems.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident on Mount Joy Road. The accident was listed as unfounded.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief on Byers Street. Further, juveniles were reportedly throwing snow balls at a residence.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident on state Route 879. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
- Police responded to a business alarm along Plaza Drive. Upon arrival police found the business secured.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred in the area of Pine Street.
- Police received a report about the theft of a Kindle Fire; it was stolen from a Summit Street residence.
- Police would like to warn motorists that parking is prohibited between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. on State and Filbert streets.
