CCCD’s Receives DEP Evaluation

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Conservation District’s Erosion and Sedimentation Division was recently evaluated by the state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

The multi-day assessment included a detailed review of completed projects.  Each project was reviewed for level of efficiency in field work, procedure, comprehension of regulations and timeliness.

Both technicians received high marks in all categories.  The team of evaluators concluded that the conservation district met or exceeded all elements of their Delegation Agreement with the DEP.

Technicians Fred Berry and Amy Hallman’s efforts were recognized by the district’s Board of Directors.  Chairman Denny Norris stated, “We have always appreciated the efficiency and professionalism shown by these technicians, but it is encouraging to have our opinions confirmed by DEP’s evaluation.”
