- Police received a report about an incident of theft. The victim told police that she had her medications stolen from her purse while she was at the bowling alley on East DuBois Avenue on Nov. 16. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- On Wednesday, police responded to the Pennsylvania Academy of Cosmetology, where a former student had started causing problems. Further, the victim told police that a former male student who had been permanently removed from the school for sexually harassing the female students had showed up and caused a disturbance. The male was advised that if he returned to the school, he would be arrested for trespassing.
- On Thursday, police responded to a residence in the 800 block of DuBois Street for a man who had intentionally overdosed on medications and alcohol. Upon police arrival, the man admitted he’d attempted to kill himself. While speaking with the man, he stated, “How about I pull out my gun” and then reached behind his back. However, police detained the man and transported him the DuBois Regional Medical Center – West, where a mental health petition was filed.
- On Thursday, police responded to a burglary in progress at a residence in the 400 block of Knarr Street. Further, the victim told police that someone entered his second-story window, and his residence was ransacked with money being stolen. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
