- On Monday, a 19-year-old Rockton man was stopped in the area of Fifth and Chestnut streets in DuBois City. During the stop, state police found the man was in possession of drug paraphernalia and arrested him for the same. Charges were filed through the district court.
- Minor injuries were reported after a three-vehicle accident that occurred Sunday on the Woodland – Bigler Highway near Peters Road in Bradford Township. James D. Ransdorf, 48, of Philipsburg and Maridawn Shirey, 25, of Woodland were stopped in the roadway while waiting for traffic to clear. Shirey was waiting to make a left-hand turn onto Peters Road. However, Delphine L. Jordan, 53, of Clearfield failed to observe the Ransdorf and Shirey vehicles stopped and rear-ended the Ransdorf vehicle. After impact the Ransdorf vehicle was forced forward and rear-ended the Shirey vehicle. Jordan’s vehicle sustained disabling damage while the Ransdorf vehicle sustained moderate damage. Shirey’s vehicle sustained minor damage. Both Jordan and Ransdorf were transported to the Clearfield Hospital for evaluation and treatment. Shirey refused medical treatment at the scene. State police were assisted by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services and the Bigler-Jackson-Woodland Fire Department.
