Ronda Joyce Maney, 67, of Curwensville died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Born Sept. 19, 1946, she was the daughter of Alton Maurice and Edith Mae (Lucas) Spencer. Ms. Maney was retired from Bayer Clothing Industries after 41 years of service.
Surviving are two daughters, April J. (McGarry) Long of Huntingdon and Christina M. (Maney) Gisewhite and her husband, Walter of Curwensville. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Chantell R. Demi of North Carolina, James D. Demi of Curwensville and Taylor S. and Paige C. Long, both of Huntingdon.
In addition, she is survived by two step-children, Corrina Maney Ricketts of Ranson, WV and Samuel Maney of Clearfield and a great-grandchild, Elise Leann Marie Demi of North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and an infant sister.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services because her body was donated for medical research in the hopes of finding a cure for cancer that takes so many lives, including her own.
