Traffic Delays Expected as Work Winds Down on Guide Rail Project

CLEARFIELD – Work to improve traveler safety on several Centre County routes will enter the final phase for 2013 this week. Crews will install guide rail on Route 322 in Rush Township Thursday and or Friday, weather-permitting.

A lane restriction will be in place from the intersection with Presqueisle Street to  approximately Country Club Lane with traffic alternating through the work zone. Work will begin in this area by 8 a.m. and wrap up by 5 p.m.

Travelers in this area should expect significant delays, especially during the afternoon hours.

All work is weather and schedule dependent. Penn Line Service Inc. of Scottdale is the contractor on this project, which is part of an overall $327,000 group job slated to wrap up next summer.

Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits, proceed through work zones with caution, and always buckle up.
