CLARION – Dan Gedimen, NPR host and editor of the “This I Believe” essay series, will visit Clarion University at 7 p.m. Dec. 4 in the auditorium of Marwick-Boyd Fine Arts Center. His visit is part of the Mary L. Seifert Cultural Series, themed “In God We Trust?”
Gedimen will focus on the essays that reflect on a particular belief system and explore how writing “This I Believe” essays has allowed individuals to answer for themselves the question, “In God We Trust?”
As part of Gedimen’s visit, community members, as well as Clarion University students, staff and faculty, are invited to submit a “This I Believe” essay on the core values that guide their daily lives. Winning essays will be published in “This I Believe: Clarion” and winners will be asked to share their essays during Gedimen’s Dec. 4 presentation. Essays should be 350 to 500 words and must be submitted by Nov. 22 to ThisIBelieve@clarion.edu.
