Jane D. Brown, 98, of Clearfield died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
She was born Nov. 22, 1914, a daughter of the late Roy and Dora (Durkee) McCloskey.
Mrs. Brown retired from Kurtz Bros. in 1980 after 41 years of service and was a member of Hyde Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Brown, on Aug. 9, 1976 and whom she wed April 1, 1961 in Brookville.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia McCloskey, June Gregoire and Betty Woodruff and three brothers, Edgar L., Roy C. and Robert Lee McCloskey.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde, with the Rev. Robert Croft officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of one’s choice.
