Kathryn L. Boron, 66, of Clearfield died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital.
She was born June 11, 1947, the daughter of D. Peter Koontz and Teresa (Marinoble) Koontz of Clearfield.
Mrs. Boron retired from the Progressive Publishing Company, “The Progress,” as a composing clerk. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Nativity of the Theotokos Orthodox Church, Madera.
Mrs. Boron is survived by her husband, E. Ronald Boron, of Clearfield; her mother, Teresa Koontz of Clearfield; a sister, Peg Sayers and her husband, Ronald of Keewaydin; two nieces, Christine Mack and her husband, Jeremiah of Coalport and Megan Sease and her husband, Christopher of Keewaydin; a great-nephew, Cody Sease; a great-niece, Hope Sease; three aunts, Eleanor Shifter and her husband, Clyde of Clearfield, Crem DeLarme and her husband, Dale of Luthersburg and Kay Beddes of Florida; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Honoring Mrs. Boron’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the St. Tikhon’s Monastery Mausoleum, South Canaan.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Orthodox Church in America, St. Tikhon’s Monastery, South Canaan, PA 18459.
