WARSAW TOWNSHIP – The DuBois-based state police have initiated an investigation into a burglary incident that occurred sometime between Sunday and Tuesday on Hemple Lane in Warsaw Township.
During the incident, someone entered a vacant residence by smashing a window with a rock. Once inside the suspect(s) opened several cupboards and drawers; however, nothing appeared to be missing as most items had been sold during an estate auction.
The suspect(s) forced entry into a detached garage on the property, as well as a single-wide mobile home that was used as a camp along the same lane. They gained entry to the camp by smashing out the rear door window, state police said.
Once inside the suspect(s) rummaged through the camp and opened cupboards and drawers. They removed a 37-inch flat screen television, a Play Station 3 game console and six games and a Remington .22-bolt action rifle, state police said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
