Ronald E. Kutsel, 63, of DuBois died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at his residence. Born Sept. 12, 1950, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Martha (Glausaukas) Kutsel.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed contractor operating as Ron Kutsel Construction for 35 years.
He was a 1969 graduate of the DuBois Area High School and then attended the DuBois Trade School. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, the James J. Patterson Post 813 Veterans of Foreign Wars, the National Rifle Association and the former Lithuanian Independence Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his Ford truck and stock trading.
He, along with his three brothers, constructed and established the family camp “Kutseland” in the Alleghany National Forrest. He loved to ride and care for his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a member of the Harley Davidson Owners Group.
He is survived by three brothers, Charles “Butch” Kutsel and Michael Kutsel, both of DuBois and Robert “Bobe” Kutsel and his wife, Maryann of Rockton; a nephew, Charles E. Kutsel, a great-niece, Kaitlyn Kutsel and a great-nephew, Derek Kutsel, all of DuBois.
He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Judith Kutsel.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc.
The DuBois Area Honor Guard will conduct a ritual service at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Kresinski as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
