- On Wednesday, police reported an incident of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that occurred in the 300 block of East Park Avenue. Further, the victim showed police where their vehicle was struck by an egg. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Wednesday in the 600 block of First Street. Upon arrival police determined the operator of a white pick-up truck struck a telephone pole and a city “no parking” sign and then fled the scene. Police searched for the operator but wasn’t able to locate them. The telephone pole, police said, was not severely damaged, and they contacted the cable company about the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact DuBois City police.
