Louise E. Duckett, 77, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 at the Elk Regional Health Center.
She was born Nov. 18, 1935 in Irvona, the daughter of Donald and Violet (Straw) Termin.
She’d worked on the administration staff of the Pennsylvania Lottery and as an administration aide to Sen. Mark Singel.
She was a past president of The Easter Seal Society and received the National “Brace for an Ace” Award of the society. She volunteered for the Mentally Retarded, Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Clearfield Hospital and the Mid State Literary Council.
She was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel D. Duckett of Clearfield, whom she married Dec. 17, 1955; one sister, Maxine Vogel of Philipsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeffrey D. Duckett; three brothers, Gordon, Donald and Kenneth; a sister, Racine; and a nephew, Michael Vogel.
Honoring Mrs. Duckett’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or viewing. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
