Patricia Ann Green, 77, a 16-year resident of Christ the King Manor, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 at the manor after a short illness surrounded by her family.
Born June 16, 1936 in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late John B. Green Sr. and Gene (Shannon) Green. She worked for 36 years in the family business of John B. Green Oil Co.
She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. She was always interested in people and was “a good visitor.” She frequently checked in on friends, including many at Christ the King Manor.
She enjoyed cooking and baking for her nephews and nieces, especially her cookies and peanut butter fudge ice cream topping. She also loved making ceramics for the children.
She is survived by four siblings and their spouses, Joan and Charles Scibetta of Santa Cruz, Calif., John B. “Jack” and Leah Green and Michael and Marilyn Green, both of DuBois, and Genie and Chuck Bassett of Clifton Park, NY.
She’s also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Sue Scibetta Hegland, Jean Scibetta Renouil, Joan Scibetta Fenwick, Jim Scibetta, Charlie Scibetta, John Green, Joseph Green, Anne Green Cross, Dan Green, Marie Green Andrews, Charles Bassett, Andrew Bassett, David Green and Brian Green and 19 great-nephews and nieces.
The family is grateful for the kind and loving care she received at Christ the King Manor.
A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
