WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – A 46-year-old Houtzdale woman is facing charges for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend Monday at a residence in the 900 block of West Hannah Street in Woodward Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.
The woman and her boyfriend engaged in a domestic disturbance. During the incident, she allegedly grabbed a hammer and attempted to strike the victim in the head with it, state police said.
The victim, state police said, disarmed the woman without either of them getting injured. After that, the victim left the residence and called 9-1-1.
The woman was arrested at the scene and taken to the Clearfield County Jail. She will be arraigned on charges of simple assault, harassment and terroristic threats.
