Clear-Penn Chapter of IAAP Celebrates 65th Anniversary

DUBOIS – The Clear-Penn Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals met Oct. 8 to celebrate its 65th anniversary and executive night at the Penn State, DuBois campus.

The speaker was Patrick Knobloch, an accomplished presenter on leadership. His presentation was on leadership for women. Bob E. Day served as Master of Ceremonies.

Attendees included three past executives, Carl Ogden, 1985; Ray Walker, 1989; and Toni Cherry, 1995. Additionally, attendees also included current executives, Jackie Syktich of the DuBois Business College and John Blasdell of Penn State, DuBois campus.

Attending was the current Pennsylvania Division President, Maria Carney, CAP/TA, and a member of the Presque Isle Chapter in Erie. There were chapter members from Clear-Penn, Presque Isle and Altoona along with many guests from the DuBois area. In all, 39 guests attended the celebration.

The next dinner meeting will be at 6 p.m. Nov. 12 at the DuBois Business College. Brenda Heschke will present a program on “Basic Excel.” Reservations are required by 12 p.m. Nov. 8 by calling Peggy at 814-765-9526 or e-mail at peggy418@outlook.com.

Getting involved with IAAP activities provides an opportunity to develop professional and personal skills of leadership, public speaking, meeting planning and networking. All office professionals are welcome attend any meeting.
