Obituary Notice: Mary C. Williams

Mary C. Williams, 81, of Ramey died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 at Christ the King Manor, Dubois.

On Aug. 22, 1953 in St. Lawrence Church, Houtzdale, she wed the love of her life, John “Jack” Williams, whom died Sept. 14, 2008.

She was the loving mother of Mary Claire (Leo) Johnston of Punxsutawney; Beth Anne (Edwin) Bach of Whiting, IN; Patricia Jean (Daniel) Rebar of Ramey; and Christopher John (Christine) of Avondale.

She was the cherished and fun grandmother of Sarah (Justin) Fye; Rachel Bach; Nicholas (Mallori) Rebar; Amelia (Thomas) Gresko; Molly (Andrew) Mills; and Noah, Joshua and Hannah Williams. She was the adoring great-grandmother of Natalie Mills.

She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Kelley of Watkinsville, GA and Bronwyn Nulton of Carlisle; a brother, Richard Rapsey of Camp Hill; and her life-long friend, Louise Tocimak of Osceola Mills.

She was born April 11, 1932 to Irvin and Marian (Williams) Rapsey and was very proud of her Osceola Mills and Philipsburg familial roots.  She was a graduate of the Osceola Mills High School in the class of 1951.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Ramey and sang in the church choir as well as Valley Voices, Philipsburg.

She had a real flair for decorating, fashion and music.  She had a beautiful singing voice and loved to laugh.  Most especially, she loved her Jack and her family with all her heart.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at Kruise Funeral Homes Inc. of Ramey and from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Saturday at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey, with Fr. Zab Amar as celebrant.  Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Christ the King Manor of Dubois for their loving care during her stay, as well as a special comfort keeper, Helen Romese.  Devoted to her family, she will sadly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 90611, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011 or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
