Dorothy M. Wheeler, 92, of Shiloh died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
Ms. Wheeler was born Oct. 19, 1921 in Woodland, the daughter of Clyde P. and Abbie (Maines) Wallace.
She was a homemaker.
Ms. Wheeler was affiliated with the Gospel Chapel of Clearfield County and the Shiloh United Methodist Church.
She was a member of the Baltimore, MD., Chapter No. 49 Order of Eastern Star.
Ms. Wheeler is survived by a daughter, Gloria Jean Evans of Clearfield; four grandchildren, April Gardner and her husband, Roland “Gus” of Houtzdale, Wendy Condon and her husband, Scott, Shannon Wisor and her husband, Brian, all of Olanta and Frederick Foster of Curwensville; 12 great-grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren; a brother, Calvin “Cal” Wallace of Shiloh; a sister Amanda LeForte of Casper, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jessie “Tub” Maines; a son-in-law, Harry Foster Sr.; and her former husband, Fred Wheeler.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc. Clearfield, with Pastor W. Lee Casher officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday and from 12 p.m. Tuesday until the hour of services at the funeral home.
