- A two-vehicle accident occurred Thursday at the intersection of U.S. Route 322 and state Route 970 near Gio’s Barbecue Grill in Woodland. Further, a 47-year-old Philipsburg man was traveling eastbound on U.S. Route 322 when a 58-year-old Woodland man was leaving Gio’s. The Philipsburg man was traveling at an unsafe speed when his vehicle collided with the Woodland man’s truck-tractor. Both men were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. The Philipsburg man was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for minor injuries; he will be cited for the accident. State police were assisted at the scene by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services, Clearfield and Woodland fire departments and towing services.
- An incident of theft occurred sometime Wednesday or Thursday on Walnut Street in Smith Mills. During the incident, someone took four bottles of medication, including Prozac, Augmentin, Adderall and Prozen. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
