CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Area United Way recently held its first report luncheon at the St. Charles Café.
Volunteers announced new pledges in the amount of $27,684. This brings the total raised to $155,989, or 64 percent, for the 2013-14 campaign goal of $245,500.
The funds raised will help 25 local member agencies located throughout eastern, southern and central Clearfield County. The next report luncheon will take place Nov. 12 at the St. Charles Café.
Several “School Change Drives” have been scheduled, as well as a “Retail Day for United Way” at Clearfield Pharmacy and Gift Shoppe. On Nov. 8, the pharmacy will donate 10 percent of its sales to the CAUW.
