WOODLAND – All area youth who are age 10 years and under are invited to participate in a coloring contest sponsored by the Animal Welfare Council/Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic.
The contest will help kids learn about caring for animals. Contest booklets can be picked up at the Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic at 1380 Shawville Hwy., Woodland, or at the Clearfield and Philipsburg Public libraries.
The deadline to enter is Nov. 3, and prizes will be awarded to the winners. Completed entries can be dropped off at the Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic.
The Animal Welfare Council is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. It was formed in 2006 by a group of individuals who share concern and passion for animals in the community and who strive to fulfill the needs of local animals and their owners.
