ALTOONA – When UPMC Altoona Laboratory employee Patty Rebar became ill, her co-workers wanted to help by raising money to offset her expenses. However, Rebar, true to her giving nature, redirected their thoughtful actions to the hospital’s Pastoral Care Department, which benefited from a fundraiser held in her honor.

Recently, lab representatives, Karen Link; Mary Ritchey; Linda Kutz; Becky Seasoltz; Joe Pufka; and Ashley Clark, daughter of Penney Clark, who assisted in the fundraiser, presented Shirley Hoyne, UPMC Altoona Foundation for Life, and Tony Conrad, Pastoral Care, with the donations and religious wall art.

Pastoral Care’s offices and the chapel await relocation to the former City View Café area on OP4 at UPMC Altoona.
