CLEARFIELD – This year’s auction committee is collecting donations and sponsorships for the upcoming 18th annual Anne S. Thacik Charity Auction. It will be held Oct. 10, at the Knights of Columbus in Clearfield.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a silent auction and various games of chance. The live auction begins at 7:30 p.m., with Bob E. Day as emcee, and area favorite, Pat Errigo, as auctioneer.

Wine and a variety of desserts will be available throughout the evening for your enjoyment.  More than 100 items are on the docket to be auctioned, including get-away trips, fine restaurant packages, autographed items, event tickets, theme baskets, handwork and much more.

Admission tickets are $10 each, but special pricing is available for groups at 15 tickets for $100.  Funds raised will help support programs and services of the Area Agency on Aging.  Rikki Ross, director of planning & marketing for the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc., described last year’s event as very successful and well attended.  She said, “Our hopes remain high that previous donors and sponsors will be as generous this year, and that we can count on as lively an audience as we have enjoyed in the past.”

For more information on the auction and to view some of our many auction items, please visit www.ccaaa.net or call 814-765-2696.  Programs and services of the agency are funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc., Mature Resources Foundation and local and consumer contributions.
