- No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident Wednesday at the West Branch High School parking lot in Morris Township. Erin L. Frank, 39, of Morrisdale was leaving the lot when she became distracted and took her eyes off the roadway. As a result, her vehicle collided with a guard fence. Frank was wearing her seatbelt and not injured; however, she was cited for the accident. Frank’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
- An incident of simple assault occurred Sept. 26 at the intersection of Curry Run Road and state Route 879 in Mahaffey. During the incident, the suspects exited their vehicles and engaged in a verbal exchange with the victim. Then, they sprayed an unknown fluid in the victim’s eye and tackled him to the ground. The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
