CLEARFIELD – Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield will begin its demolition process today, announced Commissioner Joan Robinson-McMillen, chair, at Tuesday’s workshop meeting of the Clearfield County Commissioners.

The senior living facility was completely destroyed by fire the evening of June 25. State police at Clearfield estimated damage to exceed $3 million. Approximately 60 residents and seven employees were evacuated from the facility and not injured, according to previous GantDaily.com reports.

IntegraCare Corp., the parent company of Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield, has hopes to rebuild the senior living facility, Robinson-McMillen said. She said it was good news for not only the citizens of Clearfield County, but also to the seniors who were displaced as a result of the fire.
