Obituary Notice: Lawrence L. “Larry” Wilson

Lawrence L. “Larry” Wilson, 85, of DuBois and formerly of Falls Creek died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at Christ the King Manor.

Born June 7, 1928 in Ramseytown, he was the son of the late Craig M. and Twila Edna (Hinderliter) Wilson.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War as a sergeant.

He was married to Sara A. (Cable) Wilson. She preceded him in death May 11, 2006.

He worked for the former Miller & Williamson Chrysler Garage in Brookville and had been a coal miner.

He’s survived by his sister, Emma Mottern of Erie; three nephews, Joseph Wilson of Brookville, George Wilson of Hazen, and Kenneth Mottern of Erie; and four nieces, Jeanne Fitzgerald of Erie, Cheryl White of Morgantown, WV, Cathy Moore of Falls Creek and Patricia Zion of Brookville.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, George, Joseph, Harry, James and Miller Wilson.

Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the funeral home.

Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park.
