HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP – An 81-year-old Bradford man, Bruce D. Eymer, died after a single-vehicle accident Wednesday on state Route 66 south of Lamont Road in Highland Township, reported the state police at Ridgway.
The man was traveling southbound on SR 66 when he suffered a medical emergency. His vehicle traveled off the south berm for approximately 190 feet before striking a tree. After that the man’s vehicle struck an embankment, went airborne for approximately 40 feet and struck several other trees.
Eymer was pronounced dead at the scene by the Elk County Coroner Michelle Muccio. His passenger, Constance Eymer, 82, also of Bradford, was flown from the scene via helicopter to UPMC Erie for treatment of injuries. The woman sustained injuries of an unknown severity, state police said.
Both Bruce and Constance Eymer were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
