Thompson: “We Continue to Stand in Solidarity” as a Nation on the 12th Anniversary of the Sept. 11th Attacks

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson, R-Howard, today released the following statement in remembrance of Sept. 11, 2001:

“Today marks the 12th anniversary of the most senseless and cowardly acts of terrorism ever perpetrated against the United States and its citizens. My wife, Penny, and I offer our solemn thoughts and prayers for those who were most directly impacted by the events of Sept. 11 – the Americans who died, were injured or lost loved ones.

“We also salute the first responders, firefighters, police, emergency workers and others who risked their lives for others, including those aboard Flight 93 in Shanksville. We continue to stand in solidarity with those brave men and women who serve to protect the very freedoms that have provided our strength and resolve as a nation.”
