DUBOIS – August was another busy month for computer workshops at DuBois Business College (DBC). Two workshops, a Basics/Beginners and a Microsoft Word workshop was completed.

As a continued community service, the DBC has continued to offer computer skills workshops for the past year to people of all ages. The program was originally designed to accommodate seniors who were eager to obtain computer skills.

However, with the increasing demand for these workshops from participants of all ages, they are being offered to people of all ages. Once originally labeled as, “Senior Computer Workshops,” have been re-labeled as simply, “Computer Workshops.”  Skills pertaining to each workshop are taught, and include instructional hand-outs for each participant.

Males and females who are from ages 40 to 88 years have completed the workshops to date. The program has had an overwhelming response. Numerous requests from the public, as well as businesses from the Tri-County area have created a demand to add additional workshops such as, Windows 8, Excel for beginners, PowerPoint, Texting, iPad, Photoshop and more.
