Dorothy C. ‘Dott’ Kitko, 79, of Bloomington, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013 at her home.

She was born June 27, 1934 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late James and Ida (Clair) Dallen.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as crocheting, baking cookies and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Curwensville Baptist Church, Bloomington, where she enjoyed attending services and being involved with the Senior Saints Program.

She is survived by six children, Kathy Hall and her husband, David and Stephen Kitko and his wife, Debbie, both of Clearfield, Debbie Keith and her husband, Dave of Curwensville, David Kitko and his wife, Sherrie of Thorntown, IN, Joyce Anne Weatherholtz and her husband, Wendell of Houtzdale and Vicki ‘Dee’ Hoover and her husband, Brian of Sanborn; and an ‘adopted’ son, Denny Hamilton of Hyde.

She was also ‘Gommy’ to 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; a ‘God-given’ grandson, Pastor Todd Weaver of California; and a sister to Carol ‘Honey’ Eaton and her husband, Don of Howard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen J. ‘Pop’ Kitko on Feb. 21, 2011 and whom she wed Aug. 30, 1952 in Clearfield. She was also preceded in death by infant daughter, Linda Lee Kitko; three grandchildren, Kristy Marie Kitko and Jason Scott and Stephanie Janel Hoover; a sister, Agnes ‘Kitty’ Gavlock; and five brothers, Wilton, Jim, Frank, Stanley and C. ‘Mac’ Dallen.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Community Baptist Church, Curwensville, with Pastor Todd Hogue officiating. Burial will be in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to SPCA, 275 21st St., Clearfield or to the Community Baptist Church, P.O. Box 202, Curwensville.
