CURWENSVILLE – The Conservation Celebration will offer an array of educational and fun activities from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday at the Curwensville Lake Recreation Area.
All activities are free, including Shaver’s Creek birds of prey, maggot painting, live amphibians and reptiles, farm animals, butterfly displays, building birdhouses, canoe and kayak demonstrations, wildlife tracks and face painting.
Smokey the Bear will be attending the celebration, and there will be games by the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). There will also be other games and prizes, hot dogs cooked courtesy of Friends of Curwensville Lake, snow cones and more.
