- On Monday police were dispatched to an incident of theft from a motor vehicle that had occurred overnight on East Long Avenue. The victim told police that someone had removed items from her vehicle, which included cash. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- On Monday police were dispatched for an alleged break-in that had occurred overnight at a business in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. Upon arrival to the scene, the victim showed police where the ceiling was crashed in. Police checked the area but could not determine if anyone had gained access to the business. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- On Monday police were dispatched for an incident of theft from a motor vehicle that had occurred overnight in the 400 block of Maple Avenue. The victim advised police that someone had removed items from her vehicle, which included cash. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident Monday at the St. Joseph’s Church on South State Street. Upon arrival to the scene, police found the operator of a 2006 Pontiac backed from her parking space at the church. When she put her vehicle in drive it took off, and she attempted to slam on the brakes. However, her vehicle didn’t stop, and it struck a 2008 Kia Sorrento and the side of the church. The operator of the Kia was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center – West for minor injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police were assisted by the DuBois City Fire Department.
