- Police were dispatched to an accident Wednesday at the intersection of North Jared Street and West Long Avenue. Witnesses told police that a Penske truck ripped a sign out of the ground and took down a traffic light at the intersection. Its operator then attempted to flee the scene. Police contacted the operator who will be responsible for the damage.
- Police were dispatched to an incident of harassment Wednesday in the 100 block of East Park Avenue. The victim told police that the suspect came to her residence and screamed at her over the custody of children. She also told police the suspect threatened her. After that she advised that she didn’t want to pursue charges but wanted police to speak with the suspect. Police contacted the suspect and advised if she continued to act in this manner, she would be cited for harassment. The suspect apologized and told police it wouldn’t happen again.
- Police were dispatched to a disturbance Wednesday in the 300 block of South Main Street. The victim told police that an unwanted male was pounding on her door and demanding to be let in. While police were en route, they were advised the male had left in a white Cadillac. Police contacted the male and determined this was a civil matter. No charges needed to be filed.
- Police were dispatched to an incident of harassment Wednesday at the DuBois Manor. Upon arrival police contacted a male and female, and both were advised to leave the other alone. No further action was required at the time.
