Clarence Edward Stephenson Jr., 91, of Curwensville, died Sunday Aug. 25, 2013 at his residence after a lengthy illness.

Born April 7, 1922 in Harrisburg, he was the son of Clarence E. Sr. and Charlotte (Bryson) Stephenson.  Mr. Stephenson had worked in the technology department and Office at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA.  He was a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II and was United Methodist by faith.

He first wed the former Arlene M. Shultz, who preceded him in death July 24, 1990.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Glenn L. Stephenson; and a brother, William Stephenson.

He then wed the former Christine Prazinko on Nov. 8, 1994, and who survives along with a son, Clarence E. “Steve” Stephenson III and his wife, Sharon of Phoenix AZ; a daughter-in-law, Diane Stephenson of Mahaffey; two step-sons, Fredrick Cutler and Robert Cutler and his wife, Frances, both of Curwensville; a brother and two sisters, Donald Stephenson and his wife, Barbara of Middletown and Mary Elizabeth Able and Margaret Stuart, both of Harrisburg.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Jennifer Sharpless and her husband, Larry, Eric Stephenson and his wife, Lana, Trayci Brazell and her husband, C.J., Brian K. Stephenson and Ian Stephenson; two step-grandchildren, Christina Fleicher and her husband, Rick and Bobby Cutler and his wife, Zhanna; five great-grandchildren, Marcus G. Stephenson, Kennady Sharpless, Hannah Walker, Samantha Stephenson and Cody Stephenson; two step-great-grandchildren, Sarah and Jacob Cutler; and a great-great-granddaughter, Gabriella Stephenson.

Funeral services for Mr. Stephenson will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 51 Enola Dr., Enola, PA 17025. Burial will follow in the Rolling Green Cemetery Camp Hill.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. 300 State St., Curwensville and from 12 p.m. until the hour of services Friday at the Sullivan Funeral Home in Enola.

The family suggests contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
