Roberta J. “Bertie” Gallagher, 59 of DuBois died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born May 13, 1954, she was the daughter of Don and Evelyn (Martino) Reid. Her mother survives and lives in Sykesville.
On Nov. 18, 1972, she married John L. Gallagher. He survives.
She’d been a teacher’s aide at the Highland Street Elementary School since 1989.
She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. She loved to spend time and spoil her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading.
She’s survived by two sons, Shawn Gallagher and his wife, Jen of Anchorage, AK and Brian Gallagher and his wife, Franny of DuBois; a daughter, Samantha Panighetti and her husband, Louie of Edinboro; a brother, Don Reid and his wife, Dolly of Sykesville; and nine grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Lauren, Zachary, Claire, Sophia, Dominic, Mario and Niccolo.
She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Donna Radaker.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
