Kathryn E. Misiewicz, 95, of DuBois died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 6, 1917 in Rochester Mills, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Matsko) Struk.
On July 27, 1957, she married Joseph P. Misiewicz. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2004.
She was a homemaker and had previously worked for the Dubois Area School District in the cafeteria.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic, where she was a member of the Rosary Infant of Prague Society and had volunteered at the St. Michael Polish Festival for many years.
She was cared for locally by her only surviving sister, Margaret J. Petrick of DuBois; her nephew, Joseph W. Petrick and his wife Julia and daughter, Melina of Falls Creek; and niece, Jeanne Kolash and her husband, Michael of DuBois. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers and two sisters.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed at 12:45 p.m. Sunday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Matias M. Quinmo as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
