Minor injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident Monday on state Route 53 in Morris Township. Travis McCloskey, 32, of Bellefonte was stopped in the left turning lane for a red light at the intersection of SR 53 and Troy Hill Road. As the light turned green, McCloskey failed to yield to a vehicle operated by Sandra L. Coudriet, 71, of Morrisdale, who was traveling northbound on SR 53. Coudriet traveled through the intersection while McClosky negotiated a left-hand turn, striking the left, front of the Coudriet vehicle. Both vehicles came to a rest in the intersection. Coudriet sustained minor injuries; McCloskey wasn’t injured. Both were wearing their seat belts. McCloskey was cited for the accident through the district court in Kylertown. State police were assisted at the scene by the Morris Township Fire Department, Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services and towing services.
