Motorcyclist Flown after Jordan Twp. Accident

JORDAN TOWNSHIP – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was flown for medical treatment after an accident involving a pick-up truck Sunday on state Route 729 in Jordan Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.

Jake Edward Pentz, 20, of Curwensville was traveling south on his motorcycle, while a truck operated by John Irvin McCoy, 51, of Irvona was traveling north. Pentz crossed the centerline and struck the McCoy truck.

As a result of the accident, Pentz was flown from a location near the scene.  He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. McCoy wasn’t injured and was wearing his seatbelt.

State police were assisted at the scene by the Irvona Emergency Medical Services and Fire Department and Madera EMS.
