LT Police Investigate Attempted Robbery at Family Dollar

crime report 3CLEARFIELD – The investigation is continuing into an attempted robbery at the Family Dollar Store on South Second Street, according to the Lawrence Township police.

Upon arrival police were advised that a male approached an employee from behind. The suspect allegedly grabbed the employee and wrapped their arm around their neck. The suspect then demanded the employee’s money, police said.

At the time, another employee who was leaving the store observed the suspect. The suspect fled east across the parking lot area.

The suspect, police said, was described as a Caucasian male, standing approximately 6 feet tall with a slender build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans; he had a green bandana over his face.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Lawrence Township police.  Clearfield Borough police assisted at the scene.
