- An incident of forgery/theft occurred sometime between July 3 and July 23 on North Second Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 23-year-old Philipsburg woman utilized business checks and forged the victim’s signature on 11, separate checks, which she cashed. The total amount stolen was $3,685. Charges were filed through the district court.
- The investigation is continuing into the accidental death of a 20-year-old Julian woman that occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday at a private residence on South Eagle Valley Road in Union Township.
- The investigation is ongoing into an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Wednesday at a private residence on Silvergray Drive in Halfmoon Township. During the incident, the victim received a call from an unavailable number, and the suspect identified himself as a member of Windows Software. He was allegedly calling to repair her computer over the phone and gained access to it, which caused damage. The suspect then demanded $100 to repair it.
