Taylor Rae Goodman Crowned 2013 Fair Queen
CLEARFIELD – Taylor Rae Goodman, 18, of Curwensville was crowned the Clearfield County Fair Queen during the 25th annual competition Sunday at the grandstand stage at the Clearfield Driving Park.
Goodman became only the second fair queen to be crowned as a first-time contestant. Shaina Williams Franson was the only other first-time contestant to win when she was crowned in 2000.

Three former Penn State University administrators will face trial on charges related to the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse case.
A Pennsylvania district judge on Tuesday ruled that prosecutors had shown enough evidence to warrant a trial for ex-president Graham Spanier, former vice president Gary Schultz and ex-athletic director Tim Curley. All charges against the three men were held for trial.

Philadelphia Man’s Drug Case to Go to Jury Today
CLEARFIELD – Yesterday the commonwealth rested its case after jurors heard testimony from a second undercover agent and two DuBois City police officers who took part in the investigation of a Philadelphia man who was allegedly selling marijuana and cocaine from a Quarry Avenue apartment in DuBois in February and March of this year. Clearfield County Judge Paul E. Cherry is presiding over the case and will charge the jury at 9 a.m. today.
Philadelphia Man Convicted in Drug Case
CLEARFIELD – A jury of seven women and five men deliberated for approximately 30 minutes Friday morning before convicting a Philadelphia man of selling marijuana and cocaine to an undercover agent from an apartment at 102 Quarry Ave., DuBois, in February and March of this year. Clearfield County Judge Paul E. Cherry presided over the three-day trial.
