Gertrude “Trudy” M. Kauczka, 70, of Houtzdale died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.
Born July 17, 1943, she was the daughter of Joseph S. and Mabel (Jones) Kauczka. She was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church in Houtzdale.
She retired from the Philipsburg Area Hospital as a medical billing clerk.
She’s survived by two daughters, Marjann Young and her husband, Jim of Middletown and Taraleigh Pleskonko and her husband, Jedd Duncan of Smokerun and a son, Jedidiah J. Wagner and his wife, Brandy of Avella.
Also surviving are two grandchildren, Ashley Brady of State College and Peter J. Young of Middletown; two sisters, Joann K Work of Harrisburg and Mary Marlene Kizina of Chesapeake, VA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Marcus Kizina.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc. in Houtzdale.
There will be no public service at Ms. Kauczka’s request.
