- A hit-and-run occurred Monday in the parking lot of the old S&T Bank on West Scribner Avenue. The victim’s vehicle was struck in the left, rear bumper while it was parked in the lot. Its bumper had white paint transferred onto it. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact DuBois City police.
- An incident of theft was reported Monday in the 500 block of West Weber Avenue. The victim told police that someone had stolen a $125 chair from her porch. Police interviewed neighbors and searched the area but were unable to locate the chair. The investigation is ongoing. - Suspicious activity was reported Tuesday at a business in the 300 block of West DuBois Avenue. Upon arrival police learned two known males had pulled into the parking lot and allegedly grabbed a concrete block and started to look inside vehicles. A witness observed the males and told them to stop. Afterward the males approached the witness who ran from them. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending against the males.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Tuesday at a residence in the 100 block of East DuBois Avenue. Upon arrival a witness told police that he’d observed a dark-colored sports utility vehicle or pick-up truck park by the residence. A male exited the vehicle and threw something through the window of the residence. The witness told police the male then got back in his vehicle and left the scene. Police determined the male had broken off the mailbox and threw it through the window of the residence. Police have a suspect and their investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police responded to an unintentional drug overdose Tuesday in the 400 block of West Weber Avenue. Upon arrival a male advised police that someone had given him the wrong medication. He was taken to the hospital and is in serious condition. The investigation is ongoing.
