- A 90-year-old Wayne Road resident reported Friday that someone took a set of house keys from his garage. He said they had been entering his residence when he’s not there. However, nothing has been reported missing.
- A 22-year-old Treasure Lake woman lost control of her vehicle while traveling Friday on Bay Road in Treasure Lake. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a ditch before traveling into a wooded area and starting to turn sideways. There, it ran up a guide wire, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its roof. The woman was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries and a legal blood draw. Alcohol is a suspected factor in the accident.
- On Friday a 45-year-old Curwensville man reported that his Harley Davidson was damaged while he was getting gas at the Blinker Sheetz earlier in the month.
- A 29-year-old Big Run woman reported Friday that her ex-boyfriend has been sending her harassing text messages. Police contacted the 34-year-old Treasure Lake man and handled the situation without incident.
- A Reynolds Avenue couple reported that a known, now deceased man had used their credit card without permission to purchase tickets to a basketball playoff game. The investigation is continuing.
- A tractor-trailer rolled from its parking spot in the Wal-Mart parking lot and struck a parked vehicle on Friday. Moderate damage was reported.
- A Gamelands Road resident reported Friday that her son was attacked by a local barn cat. Police investigated and found the animal to be healthy and the boy was not injured.
- On Friday employees at the Treasure Lake Ski Lodge reported seeing a male in his 20’s strike a juvenile boy in the stomach. Upon investigation police found the two were related and at the Ski Lodge for a wedding and were just “horsing around.” No injuries were reported. Police handled the situation without incident.
- A false alarm occurred Friday at Staples.
- On Saturday employees of Kwik Fill reported there was a man passed out in his car in the parking lot. Police woke the man who appeared to be highly intoxicated, and a relative was contacted to pick up the man. Charges were filed for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
- A 35-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported Saturday that her estranged husband was threatening her via text message. The investigation is continuing at this time.
- A false alarm occurred Saturday at Sarvey’s.
- On Saturday a 67-year-old Greensburg woman reported that her 12-year-old grandson was missing from the cabins in Caymen Landing. He was supposed to be sleeping in cabin 17 B and was last seen at 7 a.m. While police were getting information about the juvenile, Treasure Lake Security reported finding him in cabin 17 A.
- On Saturday employees of Fairfield Inn reported a male who was acting strange. Upon arrival police located the 33-year-old Minnesota man in his vehicle and appeared to be acting confused. He first stated he was visiting his girlfriend in Wisconsin before stating he was in New York visiting his grandmother. Police convinced the man to be evaluated by emergency personnel. He was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. Police were later called to the hospital, because the man was “out of control.” The situation was handled without incident.
- While patrolling on Tozier Avenue, police observed the operator of a pick-up truck strike a parked vehicle and then flee the scene. Police attempted to follow the vehicle, but it fled at a high rate of speed. The man later returned to the scene and turned himself into police. The 26-year-old DuBois man admitted he had been drinking and that’s why he fled the scene. He’s also on probation and knew he was in violation. The man was taken to the Clearfield County Jail on a probation violation. Charges from the hit-and-run are pending.
- A 42-year-old Arizona man reported Sunday he was being assaulted at the Pilot Travel Center. Upon police arrival, the man was found to be intoxicated and he became belligerent with police. The man attempted to barricade himself in his vehicle, and when police talked him into getting out, he attempted to physically assault the officers. He was taken into custody and transported to CCJ on a 48-hour detainer. Charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct were filed against him.
- A vehicle operated by an 83-year-old Treasure Lake man failed to stop in time to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by a 67-year-old DuBois woman that was stopped waiting to turn into the Morningside Cemetery on Sunday. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
- On Sunday police received a report of all-terrain vehicles on private property off of Lundgren Road. The ATV’s were gone upon police arrival.
